Appeal Process

Appeals:
Selection appeals are to be submitted in writing to the Appeals Committee within ten (10) business days after the release of the selection list. Reasons for the appeal must be stated clearly and identifying all those concerned. The appeal must also state outcomes the appellant would prefer.

Appeals which are faxed or emailed will not be accepted.

Appeals Committe:
The Appeals Committee will be formed of three people, all members of BC Table Tennis Association with preferably one member of the Executive Committee. In order to avoid the potential of a conflict of interest, (e.g. the parent of a nominated athlete being on the appeals committee), the membership of the Committee will be selected by the Board of Directors.

Obligations of BC Table Tennis Association:

1. publish the ranking and selection criteria, procedures, and the selection calendar to athletes and coaches before the beginning of the nomination process.
2. publish the Appeal Process to athletes and coaches before the beginning of the nomination process.
3. inform their athletes and coaches as to their list of nominated athletes.

After the final nomination lists have been approved, BC Table Tennis Association will publish a list of their selected athletes on the BC Table Tennis Association website (www.bctta.ca)
